Locate the actual stage
The following directory uses the release 1.0.0i reference map. Numbers are stages within the named region; levels are the Normal enemy levels, not mandatory character levels.
| Region | Silver boss and stage | Golden boss and stage |
|---|---|---|
| Kings Woods | Raptor, 4, level 7 | Bloodmoon Werewolf, 7, level 10 |
| Spire Hill Crypt | Dark Elf Mage, 4, level 16 | — |
| Spire Hill Crypt Lower | — | Ogre, 3, level 19 |
| Kings Woods South | Venom Queen, 4, level 25 | Ancient Oak Treant, 7, level 28 |
| Tazan Wastes | Sandstorm Harpy Queen, 4, level 32 | Dread Sand Manticore, 7, level 34 |
| Tazan Isles | Ancient Shellwarden, 4, level 38 | Tidewrath Crab King, 7, level 40 |
| The Barrens | Serparmat the Devourer, 4, level 44 | Redrock Lord, 7, level 46 |
| The Crimson Vale | Goblin Giant, 4, level 50 | Lord of the Crimson Vale, 7, level 52 |
| Veldak Highlands | Ice Hound, 4, level 56 | Frost Dragon, 7, level 58 |
| The Defiled Keep | Bone Reaper, 4, level 62 | Defiled Wyrm, 7, level 64 |
| The Cinder Crown | Emberfang, 4, level 68 | Lord of the Cinder, 7, level 70 |
Most regions use stage 4 for Silver and stage 7 for Golden. The split Crypt regions are the exception; do not search for a non-existent stage 7 in the lower Crypt.
Meet the entry requirements
Maps unlock in sequence. Open Map (M), select the unlocked region and stage, and check the named enemy before using Travel. A Silver boss supplies the current difficulty’s skull; a Golden stage requires a skull of that same difficulty.
| Difficulty | Skull for a Golden stage | Difficulty prerequisite |
|---|---|---|
| Normal | Demon’s Skull | Base difficulty |
| Nightmare | Skull of Nightmare | Clear the final Normal boss |
| Inferno | Skull of Inferno | Clear the final Nightmare boss |
Switch difficulty in town. If the stage is locked, continue the preceding route. If the required skull is missing, run an available Silver stage on the correct difficulty.
The current data states the entrance requirement. Older sources disagree about exactly when resources are deducted, so this guide does not promise that a failed attempt is free or that a skull is returned. Check the current prompt and resource count before committing a scarce key or skull.
Check the fight and the result separately
Match defense to the boss’s actual attacks: Armor for physical damage, Magic Resist and the relevant type reduction for elemental damage. Check Health Potion level and charges, continuous mana and gear before retrying a fight that repeatedly fails.
Confirm entry by the selected map and actual enemy name. Confirm a clear through its completion result and progression; a rein drop is a separate random outcome. Mythic Rift versions and ordinary enemies that can also appear as a boss are separate contexts from this Normal progression directory.
