Use Collect Materials for gathering
Open Carriage Settings and find Collect Materials. The control documentation describes it as on by default. Turning it off makes the hero skip material nodes such as plants and ore; turning it on restores normal gathering.
Choose this when gathering stops are the problem you want to investigate. It is a collection setting, not a command to delete materials already owned. Each character keeps its own carriage settings, so check the character that is running the map.
Check each collection filter separately
| Control | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Collect Materials | Whether the hero stops at gathering nodes |
| Collect Chests | Whether dropped chests are collected or left on the ground |
| Reins Filter | Whether already-owned or already-carried ordinary reins are filtered |
| Equipment rarity action | Pick Up, Auto-Sell or an unlocked Auto-Salvage action for that rarity |
Turning off material gathering does not select an equipment-sale action. The equipment-rarity controls are not a material filter. The developer’s i patch also makes Legendary Reins always get picked up regardless of the ordinary reins filter.
Check the actual reason for a stopped run
Materials use their own panel rather than ordinary inventory slots in the inventory documentation. If the carriage is full of equipment, solve its capacity or rarity handling instead of assuming materials occupied those slots. Auto-Fill Inventory needs its own Life Skill and free inventory space.
If you are about to craft or unlock a service needing plant or ore materials, compare the resource shortfall before leaving gathering disabled. Some resources, such as Earth Essence, have a separately documented salvage route; do not assume the toggle controls every way a material can be obtained.
Measure the result before leaving it off
Repeat the same map with the setting on and off while keeping the build and other filters unchanged. Check whether node stops disappear and compare completed runs over equal time. No speed improvement has been measured here; compare the results for your own character.
The toggle and storage rules come from control documentation that does not mark a game-data version. The i-patch Legendary Rein exception is separately confirmed by the developer. Verify the current label before following the setting on a later build.
